RSVPs for this event are requested. \nProfessor Shu-mei Shih received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from UCLA in 1992 and currently has a joint appointment in Comparative Literature\, Asian Languages and Cultures\, and Asian American Studies at UCLA. She is the second vice-president of the American Comparative Literature Association\, set to assume presidency in 2021-2022.
